I wasn’t a rookie, but I made a mistake because I was selfish, impulsive, and headstrong.

I was also in love.

My desire for her overwhelmed me. Consumed me. Distracted me.

To protect her, I stood motionless as my partner pried her from the security of my arms. I watched as she fought his hold. I even listened when she screamed that she hated me.

For years I’ve been patient, I’ve been smart, and I’ve gone by the book. But now… it’s finally over.

It’s time to get my girl back.

When I show up to reclaim what’s mine, I discover she’s not ready to forgive me quite yet… but that’s okay, because I have no problem reminding her just how good it used to be, even if I have to show her over and over again.

What I do have a problem with is the guy who’s been trying to take my place. Because here’s the thing, I’ve waited too long to have her in my arms again to have anybody stand in my way… and I’m done following the rules.

I adore a kick ass read that takes me on an emotional roller coaster ride. Blue Jay and Butterfly’s story did just that and more. I will admit I was a bit confused when I first started this story. Once I caught on to what was going on, it was a wonderful story. It even caused a tear or two to form. I’m in love with these two characters and thoroughly enjoyed how this story developed. I would recommend this read to another.

Now she writes romance with real emotions and happy endings. If Anna isn’t writing or reading, she can be found by a space heater painting her nails and drinking a ridiculous amount of Diet Dr Pepper. She also likes to hang out with her husband and two boys. If it wasn’t for them, she wouldn’t ever leave the house. Anna was born in Wisconsin but now lives in the Evergreen State.

Sometimes, it feels so damn good to be bad …

From New York Times and #1 International bestselling author J. Kenner, the first in an all new series of fast-paced, provocative novels centering around the ambitious, wealthy, and powerful men who work in the glamorous and exciting world of the Stark International conglomerate … and the sexy and passionate women who bring them to their knees.

Outwardly, Noah Carter is riding high as the tech world’s hottest new genius. Inside, he’s still reeling from the abduction of his wife and baby daughter eight years ago, and then the devastating discovery of his child’s body. For years, he kept up hope that his wife was alive, but now that she’s been declared legally dead, he’s thrown himself even more deeply into his work, cutting himself off from emotional ties because they just hurt too damn much.

Then he meets Kiki Porter, an eternal optimist with a killer work ethic and dreams of fronting a band. And everything changes. Even though he tries his damnedest to fight it…

Sexually, they are combustible together. But their true fire is emotional, though it is a slow to burn. But once it lights, it is all consuming. The relationship grows emotionally, the sex is hot, things are good.

My Review:

This is such a sweet yet spicy, second chance romance. I call dibs on Noah!! He is the perfect book boyfriend. I can’t get enough of the Stark World men, perfectly written with just enough flaws to make it believable. This story will make you wonder about old flames, that’s for sure (unless you’re already with him or don’t have any worth thinking about lol). Kiki was awesome, broken but mending when she runs into Noah again. Not wanting to get hurt but unable to stay away from Noah. And Noah was so patient, yet unwilling to lose her again. Beautiful story!

#releaseandreview Best F*cking Bitches by Steffy Rogers

Title: Best F*cking Bitches (A Shit Happens When You Party Naked Novella)

Author: Steffy Rogers
Genre: Romantic Comedy
Release: Summer 2017
Cover Design: Concierge Literary Promotions
Best friends are like bras – close to your heart and there for support.

What’s better than escaping the grip of your parents and moving across the country? Moving across the country with your best friends, duh.

Most people are lucky to find that one person they trust with their life. Well, I’m here to tell you that I found three of those friends. They’re my soulmates. In a friend kinda way because let’s face it – I’m not all into that whole muff diving thing. But hey, to each their own and all that. I won’t judge.

What better city to explore than good ol’ Los Angeles, you ask? There isn’t one. We love it so much here we decided to stay and call this place our home – even now, six years later.

What could go wrong with four best friends trying to find their place in this world and looking for love?

Absolutely everything.

COMING SOON ON NOOK, KOBO & iBOOKS

“I’m anything but sure about what you’ll decide. To be quite honest, the not knowing is killing me. What is killing me even more is that I can’t take you right here on this desk and watch you come as you’re wrapped around my cock. It kills me that I can’t feel you the way I want to. It kills me that I can’t be close to you, but it would kill me even more if you decide I’m not it and that Ian is the one you want to be with. I’d respect it, but I wouldn’t like it.

The caveman in me wants to throw you over my shoulder and keep you locked in my bedroom. I want to get you back into my bed so I can feel you squirm beneath me and hear you scream my name as I make you come over and over and over again.”review-banner

This is the first story I’ve ever read by Steffy Rogers. I truly enjoyed the comradery with the four friends. The story wasn’t what I thought it would be. I laughed every time there was a colorful reverence to the genitals of a male or female. There was a place or two were I was tripped up and had to reread a section to insure I understood what was meant. I liked the fact that there were surprises within the story. The way things wrapped up didn’t seem right. It may just be me but I didn’t care for her decision. It was a good, quick read.

Blurb From Goodreads:

“There’s a darkness in you, Charlotte.”

The Fae have been forgotten by humans, but they haven’t forgotten humans.
The mysterious race of mischief makers was often blamed for humanity’s misfortunes. Now many of the old ways have been lost, but a few scattered traditions remain.

Beltane is the festival of new beginnings, just what Charlotte needs, according to her best friend. What she didn’t expect was Callan; an enigmatic stranger who seems vaguely familiar.

After a weekend together they part ways, expecting to never see each other again.
An accident turns her life upside down when Callan returns and draws her into his world. A world of magic and a thousand impossibilities. Here Charlotte learns the truth about her family, her history, and her future, and as she prepares to leave her old life behind, she learns that even the Fae have enemies. An enemy they share.

There is truth to every legend, and some legends have a very dark beginning.

My Review:

I call dibs!!! Callan and Dane, I’m not sure which one I like more. Both are awesome book boyfriends!! The story is awesome, although the kids seem a bit mature for their ages but with the mixed blood it didn’t at all take away from the story. I actually think it adds to it. Charlotte is the bomb, seriously, I want to be her when I grow up (and she’s younger than me lol). She’s not perfect, not even close, but the way she puts her fears aside and encourages her children is so awesome! And she’s such a strong character, I just love her personality. I am very much looking forward to reading book two!!

Author Bio:

Carrie is a mum.  An author.  A creator of worlds. A dreamer.  A friend.

At her childhood home in Yorkshire, Carrie was encouraged to utilize her imagination, to see things for what they could be, and to ask the question “what if?”  Her mum introduced her to worlds filled with magic: Barrie, Lewis, Tolkien, Blyton.  That magic evolved and continued to inspire her when she discovered Rowling and Sanderson.  They all asked the question and explored the possibilities, opening doors to new adventures that would forever change generations to come.

Even as a child, Carrie preferred creative outlets and writing.  But as an adult, Carrie had not yet had that moment of inspiration to begin writing a novel of her own.

That all changed one normal morning, on a normal walk to school, when a small boy slipped from the pavement and on to the road.  There was no accident. No horror.  Just a near miss that later formulated into one question: what if he was able to save himself?  Fueled by this question and Carrie’s love of fantasy, European folklore, and mythological creatures, The Riftkeepers emerged.  This world answered her question.  The series gave birth to characters that took on a life of their own, many telling continued stories in novellas and spinoffs.

When Carrie isn’t writing and annoying her editor with endless typos, she barely sleeps, thinks about her characters, indulges in an unhealthy Facebook addiction, exploring the beauty of the Lake District as her backyard, and contemplating which she loves more: pizza or wine.  Definitely wine. Considered to be one of the most boring people she knows, writing her own biography was a definite weakness. Her first draft was rubbish and was picked apart by friends who insisted she was funnier and far more interesting than she gives herself credit.  She was no longer allowed to write her own biography, so she provided input.

Carrie now resides in West Cumbria with her husband and two children.  They are her inspiration.  Her world.

My Review:

Wow, talk about hard to put down. There are so many twists and turns in this story that just keep you glued to the page. The shock at the end, wow, there were so many secrets that came to light and I wasn’t even close to figuring it out. It definitely reminds you that you really don’t know someone and what they are capable of doing. Elle seemed so real, the living in a bubble yet knowing why but still taking risks like any normal teenager. It was almost hard to believe that it was fiction. I will definitely be checking out more books by this author.

Blurb From Goodreads:

He needed her for strength. She needed him to survive.

Every person believes they will go to heaven. You spend your life going to church, obeying the rules and doing the right thing in hopes that a higher power grants you access through the pearly gates. The other option is Hell, or so we thought.
After her death, Ashley waited for the bright light that never came or the dark cloud that evaded her. What she didn’t expect was Thaddeus. Her choice was made and the link was something they never expected.

Being a ghost was hard enough, but being linked to a vampire that cannot keep himself out of trouble was proving to be more difficult than either of them expected. As Ashley’s visions become increasingly more graphic, she is forced to watch herself do bad things to good people while Thaddeus is blind to her murderous spree.

When the lines blur and he gets a peek in to her premonitions, Ashley is at risk of losing more than just her life. She could lose everything, including her vampire.

My Review:

Fascinating story! I was expecting your normal, somewhat sappy romance. That is not at all what this story is. Yes, there are romantic moments, but it’s more like a story where both characters are strong and willing to sacrifice but also don’t want to live without the other. And the journey of them leading up to where they finally admit their feelings was full of mystery. It was a fun ride. Ashley has visions, as a ghost, and they aren’t complete. We get as much info as she does, until the end, which will shock you. I thought it was something completely different, I was close on the reasoning, but way off on the why. Absolutely a must read that will have you turning page after page, until you’ve devoured the whole thing!!

Author Bio:

Virginia is a mom to two beautiful children and resides in Minnesota. Any spare time is spent watching TV, reading, facebooking and spending time with friends. She’s married to Thai Preyer PA ;), yet owned by Kyle Perkins as his PA. *these two run my life*
A love for reading and writing is a new concept for Virginia. Before the Twilight rave and a need to know the ending after Eclipse was released in theaters, Virginia preferred to watch the movie or convince a friend to read the book for her. Needing to know the story of a random homeless man that she encountered on a freeway exit ramp, was the only reason she began writing in the first place. Soulless Nights spawned from the unknown story and a dare from her friends.

Virginia has expanded her love for books by planning and hosting The Tampa Indie Author Book Convention. As a co-owner of The Indie Book Channel on YouTube, the opportunity to help others experience books and events that they otherwise couldn’t has helped her to share her passion for the Indie Community.
She has had the pleasure of working with some of her favorite authors. Street teams, beta reading and cover modeling were what led her to the world of writing.
She currently PA’s for Kyle Perkins and has begun co-writing Humanity’s Ark: Kepler with him.
Currently she has released Soulless NightsRevenge; a short story within the anthology Doctrine of Indecency: 18 Coveted Tales of Lust, and Vindicate.
Humanity’s Ark: Kepler (Kyle Perkins), Always; Never, Seraphine’s (Julia Clare) October 2016, Freeing Olivia (Ellen Wilder), and Soulless Days are current WIP’s, soon to be released.

My Review:

Wow, quite the cliffhanger ending on that one!! It was awesome!! I loved the different POV’s throughout the story. As much as I love mysteries, I also love getting all the info lol. But even with all the different POV’s there are still unexpected twists and turns (like the ending lol). And the characters are so interesting, either easy to like or easy to hate, yet so realistic (other than the paranormal aspect of course). I look forward to the next book, kinda can’t wait after that surprise at the end.

Author Bio:

A little about me and I can assure that I hate doing these bio things.

I am a London girl currently living and working in Auckland New Zealand. My day job is a dog wrangler (A dog supervisor at a dog day care centre).  The weekend is when I can become the author I dream of one day being,

I have written all of my life, but mainly fanfictions. A few years ago I discovered a RP group on twitter and for two years I wrote with them in many forms and found my love for writing again.

After a very personal bit of cyberbullying from someone I once called a friend my confidence was destroyed and I stopped writing for a while.  The monster could not keep me down for long and the abuse I suffered at their hands  became my drive to write once more.

That is how I have ended up here, about to release my first novel and I have many more adventures planned.

My writing is mainly paranormal and aimed very much at the YA market, but anyone can read them I hope. I mean lets face it who doesn’t love some sexy vampires and werewolves?

When I am not writing and wrangling dogs I read, alot, anything and everything. I love discovering new authors and new genres that I never thought I would read.
