Meredith Molloney never thought she’d find a mate, let alone someone like Donovan Murry—one of the most powerful Alphas alive. Now that she’s no longer cursed and the evil Luciana Alvarez has been taken care of, she thinks life will finally settle down. Boy, has she never been so wrong.

In the middle of the night, Donovan gets a call telling him that his pack has gone to pieces. The news that his second in command has been found brutally murdered has Donovan packing his bags for Ireland, but the last thing Meredith wants to do is leave Texas. She’s heard about how the Celtic Pack are with outsiders. And Donovan has more than a few exes in the pack that will be less than friendly.

Meredith’s never let a few angry wolves stop her, and she’s not about to start now. She’s faced down much worse the past few months. But when she gets there, she finds that it’s not just a few exes who stand in the way between her and her Full Moon Ceremony with Donovan.

Meredith is thrust in to a deadly game of pack politics, one the fey have happily joined in on. When the dust settles, she knows she’ll either have everything that she wants or lose it all.

5 Things You Don’t Know About Meredith

  1. Meredith is a member of the American Wayfarer Pack.

The world is divided up among packs, but Meredith’s is different, mostly made up of Cazadores. When big bads start acting up—vampires, feys gone murderous, leprechauns running amuck—they fly in to save the day. That’s why Meredith is a super awesome fighter. She was trained by her herd of brothers—not to mention the rest of her pack—since she could walk.

  1. Meredith’s pack was against her going to St. Ailbe’s Academy.

Annoying as it is, women in the packs don’t have a ton of independence. Especially in the Wayfarer pack. (Don’t worry. Tessa and Meredith are going to change all that. 😉 ) There are only a few women in the Wayfarer Pack. Meredith, her mother, and her nanny Ciara. Which is why Meredith wanted to get out so badly. But the Cazadores wanted to protect her. How could they do that if she wasn’t with them? And don’t get them started about Luciana cursing her… That would never have happened with them watching over her. But even with all the craziness, Meredith was glad she left. She made some amazing friends, learned a lot about other supernaturals, and most importantly, she never would have met Donovan if she hadn’t been at St. Ailbe’s. Who could regret that?

  1. Meredith’s nanny, Ciara, is more like her mom than her bio mom.

Meredith and her mother have never seen eye to eye. So, when Ciara sought refuge with the Wayfarers from the Irish Pack, Meredith clung to her. Now that Meredith is going to be joining Donovan’s notoriously cliquish Irish Pack, she’s going to need Ciara more than ever.

  1. For a while, Meredith thought about leaving the packs behind, going to a human college, and getting a job.

Sure, she was cursed to stay in her human for during that time. Since she couldn’t shift, she was basically human anyhow! Why not give it a shot? Seemed like a real chance at freedom from her overpowering pack. And when everything is going crazy, she still things about it. If she were human, what would she be doing? It’s nice to dream.

  1. Meredith is obsessed with reality TV.

Having never been integrated with humans, she finds it unendingly fascinating. Especially Finding Bigfoot. But really, she’ll watch any of it. She also thinks the fact that E! cancelled The Soup to be one of the biggest tragedies of her lifetime so far. When she’s busy at school, she can’t keep up with it all. The Soup was her way to keep up to date with human pop culture in 30 minutes. If anyone can fix this crime against society, she’d been in their debt. And having a Were like Meredith on your side is a very good thing. So, any takers?

Bombastic #BookBlitz: Songs & Fins by B. Kristin McMichael

Songs and Fins
B. Kristin McMichael
(The Merworld Trilogy, #2)
Published by: Lexia Press
Publication date: March 14th 2017
Genres: Paranormal, Young Adult

Whitney was amazed she finally had a boyfriend, and was prepared for a new life with him in the siren night human world. And the fact he was a lead singer in a rock band in his free time wasn’t bad, either. Too bad having a boyfriend didn’t mean she was going to see him, as his father’s punishment included separating them. Whitney is certain she can handle it, but sure enough, that isn’t the only wrench thrown into her new life. There’s a new threat in town, a scarier one than the backstabbing siren clan she’s part of now. They are night human hunters, and Whitney is an outlawed night human breed. Could her luck get any better? Quiet and peaceful would be ideal, but that’s not what she’s about to get.

Whitney meeting another  new friends

“Do you come here for the sound of the waves or the view of the sparkling water?” a deep voice asked from beside her.

Whitney didn’t look up as she scanned the water.

“I come here to be alone,” she replied, still staring at the water for any sign of her new merfamily. Why was Sam so insistent she get out and why did she feel the need to leave the water? Was there something dangerous in there?

“Ouch,” the guy said as he sat beside her. “My sister said you were having some problems with your friends, and I suppose that would make just about anyone grumpy.”

Whitney finally turned to the unknown guy. Sitting down he was taller than her by almost a whole head. He had to be at least close to her old friend Owen’s height of six foot three inches. His dark, almost black, hair was pulled back into a short ponytail which made his crystal blue eyes stand out completely. While his sister was full of color from her hair to the various tattoos, her brother was dressed only in black to go with his black hair, and aside from the eyebrow that was pierced, there was nothing about him that said dangerous like his quiet sister.

“Sorry, it’s been a bad day,” Whitney said, apologizing for her snippiness. She didn’t need him to say he was Jade’s brother; she could see the familial resemblance in the shape of his eyes and the curve of his mouth.

Jade’s brother was new in town and truly didn’t deserve her anger directed at him. He wasn’t the one keeping her boyfriend from her, or making her friends ignore her.

“I completely understand. That school isn’t the most welcoming, and if I found a few friendly faces that have now ditched me to start over, I’d be completely mad about it, too,” he told her. Obviously, he was well informed. “I’m Jax, by the way. Jade’s awesome younger brother by a whole eleven months.”

Blazing #BlogTour: Ascender Saga by C.L Gaber

Ascenders Saga

Ascenders: High
School for the Recently Departed (Ascenders #1)
Is this Hell or is this High School?
THE ASCENDERS Book Saga Takes You to the In-between Where Teens
Who Died Young Go On the Epic Adventure of an After-Lifetime
Walker Callaghan doesn’t know what happened to her. One minute she
was living her teenage life in suburban Chicago…and the next minute, she was
in a strange place and in a brand new school with absolutely no homework, no
rules, and no consequences.
Walker Callaghan, 17, is dead.
She doesn’t go to heaven or hell. She lands at The Academy, a
middle realm where teenagers have one thing in common: They were
the morning announcement at their high schools because they died young.
These high school kids are now caught in a strange “in-between”
zone where life hasn’t changed very much.  In fact, this special teen
limbo looks a lot like life in a quaint Michigan town complete with jocks,
popular girls and cliques. “There are even cheerleaders in
death,” Walker observes.  It’s not a coincidence that the
music teacher is a guy named Kurt who “used to have this band.” The
drama teacher, Heath, is crush worthy because back in his life, he starred in
some superhero movie.
Principal King explains the rules — there are none. Why? You
can’t die twice.
There is no homework.
No tests.
You’re just there to learn because the human brain isn’t fully
formed until you’re 24.
By the way, you can’t get hurt physically, so race your Harley off
that hillside. But falling in love is the most dangerous thing you can do
…because no one knows how long you’ll stay in this realm or what’s next.
“Losing someone you love would be like dying twice,”
Walker says.
Walker Callaghan has just arrived at the Academy after a
tragic car accident. “Is this hell or is this high school?” she asks.
She finds out her new life is a bit of both as she falls in love
with tat-covered, bad boy Daniel Reid who is about to break the
sacred rule of this place. He’s looking for a portal to return
back to the living realm.
He needs just one hour to retrieve his younger brother who
strangely never arrived at The Academy. Bobby is an Earth Bound
Spirit, stuck at a plane crash site that took both of their
lives as their rich father piloted his private jet nose-first into a cornfield
on Christmas Eve.
Walker loves Daniel and risks it all to go with him.
Have they learned enough to outsmart dangerous forces while
transporting a young child with them? Can their love survive the fragmented
evil parts of themselves that are now hunting them down as they try to find a
way back to the middle?
At the Academy, you learn the lessons of an after-lifetime.
Ascenders: Skypunch (Book
In the Midst—a place for those who die
young—there are no rules except one.
And Walker Callaghan, dead at seventeen, just broke it. She
briefly revisited her earthly life
and the punishment is
eternal. Longing for her rebel love interest, Daniel Reid, Walker
finds an ally in Cass, whose attraction to her is as alive as he is. “Life
is short,” he tells her. “I’m banking on eternity. With you.”
In the second book of the Ascenders Saga, a
realm-jumping journey takes Walker and Daniel back to life again when they
search for something buried in history. They team with students from
several other schools in the middle realm including a place for
teens born with oddities. It’s home to the Claires . . . beautiful,
ruthless, and quite dead seventeen-year-old quads who each have a
different clairvoyant gift.
Can Walker survive another adventure of
an afterlife-time—or will she find herself on the downside of eternity?

“So, how

“How long

Of course,
he was kidding. Parents didn’t take vacations from their four children

My next

 In what
seemed like an instant, my back foot caught on a large fallen tree branch
and I fell
forward with all my body weight. Crashing hard onto my hands and knees, I
cried out,
but I wasn’t in any real pain. Before I could stand up, I slipped again until

was like
thunder. Then, in what felt like a sickening surge of broken glass and rushing

ground suddenly ceased to exist. I didn’t have time to scream as I dropped into
the dark,
lifeless, icy chill of wintery water.
I braced

it was fascinating to watch him ever so gradually shuffle along as my

All it

She found the voice. It was attached to an odd looking creature with wild brown hair, a large nose, and round cheeks peering at her with two outstretched hands from a hole in the bricks no more than a foot or so above her head. Another set off blades hit the ground and she jumped, reaching for the creature’s hands. He grasped them and pulled her upward while she planted her feet along the wall and climbed it.

“’Bout time. Follow me,” he said as he crawled through the small space. It was large enough for him to crawl, as he was no larger than a four-year-old child. She felt like a giant and had to wriggle on her belly, her ribs throbbing with each movement, and the dampness soaking through her shirt and jeans. She was glad she wore old clothes and running shoes for her little venture. The gunk coating the crawl space oozed through her fingers as she clutched between the bricks to get to the other side.

What’s happening? demanded Rodham.

It was a booby trap. I’m OK.

The creature jumped out of the space and grabbed her hands, pulling her out. She was impressed with his strength as she tumbled out of the tunnel onto her butt and the gunky ground of yet another tunnel. He was no more than half her height and she wasn’t exactly tall at five foot three inches.

“Thank you,” she said, lifting her aching body off the ground. She felt like an old woman and desired a long, hot bath filled with bubbles and the scent of strawberry or vanilla, anything but the nasty odor that coated every inch of her body and made her cringe.

“It’s not every day I find a young lass traveling these tunnels,” he muttered. “Or anyone…” he finished, his voice trailing off.

“I’m Alison.”

My Review:

Warning!!! Make sure to clear your day and have tissues at the ready for this one won’t let you go even after you’ve finished the last page. I could not put this down, so much happens in what seems like a very short amount of time. I’m still trying to get over my book hangover. I think I like torturing myself, or maybe it’s the author, I’m not sure. Part of me wishes that I’d wait for a few more books to come out before continuing but I just can’t do it. This is such an awesome series!! I can’t believe some of what happened in this installment. There’s good news, bad news, happy news and sad news that I’m just having trouble getting over some of it. I haven’t picked up a book since I finished it yesterday. The thing with Valmont, and the other thing with Jaxon, then the family. I’m still just floored by what happened and I feel lost. Which means I really need the next book soon but I know that won’t be possible any time soon (sobs uncontrollably, not really but yea).

Favorite Quotes:

—“I can either pace, or I can rip someone’s head off. Which would you prefer?”                  “Can we choose whose head you rip off?” Valmont asked. “Because that might affect our preference.”

—He retrieved the manual and rolled it up like he planned to swat a fly. Ferrin was a pest. She doubted whacking him with a rolled-up manual would do any good, but it might be fun to watch.
