Bethany McAlister loves that house more than life itself and will do anything to keep it. Even if she can’t afford the taxes on it. When a notice arrives informing her that her house is about to go to auction she desperately takes on a roommate, but gets a surprise when the dead sexy Jamie Green shows up on her doorstep to take her spare room. Jamie brings not only much needed cash, but more problems than Bethany cares to take on. But when he presents a proposal that can fix both their problems—get married. Will she say yes and risk her heart or no and risk losing her home that means so much to her?
I absolutely LOVED this story! One of the issues though was them saying “I love you”, there wasn’t a sweet moment or anything and to me it came out of left field. That totally threw me, I knew it was going to happen (it’s an HEA so duh) but, ugh, you can’t just throw “I love you” in there and keep going. I had to reread that part just to make sure I didn’t miss anything. And the ending seemed a little rushed so it felt a little incomplete to me. Otherwise, I loved it, the characters were awesome (especially Garrett) and the story for the most part was very engaging. I didn’t want to put it down. Don’t let my issues prevent you from picking this up, it was great!
Kimberly Loth can’t decide where she wants to settle down. She’s lived in Michigan, Illinois, Missouri, Utah, California, Oregon, and South Carolina. She finally decided to make the leap and leave the U.S. behind for a few years. Currently, she lives in Cairo, Egypt with her husband and two kids.
She is a high school math teacher by day (please don’t hold that against her) and YA author by night. She loves romantic movies, chocolate, roses, and crazy adventures. Kissed is her first novel.
