Blurb From Goodreads:
Protector of Light, Fiona Farrow, has three new challenges to face: a missing best friend, a power-obsessed demon mage, and a borderline invincible vampire.
After surviving a near blood sacrifice, another of the Sacred Scrolls has been stolen. This time from the head of the Ancient Order of Vampires. But her target isn’t just borderline invincible—he’s incredibly alluring, too.
Her investigation leads her to New York City, where she teams up with two other Protectors to hunt down the vampire faction. Soon, however, Fiona discovers she isn’t the only one looking for the Scroll, and she needs to get to it first … before someone dangerous unlocks its magical powers.
Confronted by every evil faction at every damning turn, Fiona must chose between losing the people she loves most or saving humanity from eternal Darkness.
If you enjoy kick-ass heroines who face down demons, vampires, and shifters, you’ll love Rising Light, the second installment of the hot new urban fantasy series, Armor of Magic.
Ooooh, I can’t wait to see what happens next! Fiona has finally jumped on board her destiny but she isn’t a very good team player. She goes off and does her own thing without telling anyone where she’s going or what she has planned. It’s amazing how most of the time it works out, but when it doesn’t…. boy does everything get screwed up. If you haven’t started this series yet you should, it will keep you on the edge of your seat until the very end!
I love writing sci-fi novels for young and new adults. I recently launched my first Urban Fantasy series, Armor of Magic. Fiona Farrow is an investigative journalist who wears a magical suit of Armor and kicks demon ass all over San Francisco.
I also write dystopian sci-fi. My debut series includes four action-packed thrillers: The City Center, The Mainframe, The Torrent and The New Agenda. My most recent release in this genre is Swarmed––a world where everyone is assigned an expiration date. I also have a collection of short stories called Voices of the Apocalypse. Yeah, I’m kind of dark.
I grew up in Kensington, Maryland, a small town just outside of Washington D.C. I spent a lot of time filling up journals, but after reading S.E. Hinton’s The Outsiders, I wanted to become a writer. My list of favorite authors continues to expand (much like the universe). Some of my top picks are Margaret Atwood, Kresley Cole, Suzanne Collins, Rainbow Rowell and Claudia Gray.
I live in Los Angeles with my husband and our darling Boston Terrier. She’s all over my Instagram.
